Our team welcomes you to Bordon Dental Centre : a family practice providing high quality, affordable dental care in a kind, secure, safe & comfortable environment.

We listen to you, and give active feedback so we can be sure that we understand your preferences in terms of the dental care you desire. All treatment proposals with costs are presented to you in writing before any procedure is done, relieving any stress of trying to recall a list of technical terms and procedures. (we understand).

All treatments and advice are of a high standard. Our results speak to expertise and delivery in advanced Dentistry and will meet with your, and our referral colleagues' approval.

Our patient's journey in both advanced and routine care is continually audited to ensure ‘best practice’ is maintained at all times.

Did you know that Dental Plans can cost you more? Example : A typical dental plan will cost in the region of £30 per month or £360 per year for 2 dentists visits and 2 hygienist visits. Our cost for the same treatment is £218, saving you £142 per year! Plus for other treatments our savngs range between 10% and 35%.
Although we are private, the Bordon community is at the heart of our practice where patients come first. We will tailor a pricing plan for you. Please have a confidential discussion with us as we try not and turn people away.

Cancellations - please contact us 24 hours before your appointment should you wish to cancel, this allows us to see another patient in that spot. Please drop us an e-mail if you wish to cancel after hours.

This privacy notice sets out how Bordon Dental Centre uses and protects any information that you give when joining the practice.

The practice is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, GDC, NHS and other standards.

The person responsible for Data Protection is the Practice Manager.

What type of information do we hold?
  • Personal details such as your address, date of birth, phone number and email address This is for the provision of dental health care, providing treatment plans, estimates and recalls Details of your NHS number and entitlement to healthcare treatment and exemption status if applicable Personal details such as details of family members for the provision of healthcare to children or for emergency contact details 
  • Medical history including your GP’s name and address 
  • Past and present dental history including x-rays and photographs 
  • Information about the treatment we have proposed and provided along with its price. Notes of conversations or incidents that might occur for which a record needs to be kept Records of permission or consent for treatment. 
  • Correspondence to other healthcare professions such as referrals 
  • Financial information relating to your treatment 
  • Details of any complaints made
Why do we need to keep this information?
We need to keep records of personal information regarding our patients in order to provide safe and appropriate dental care and treatment. It is also used to maintain accurate treatment records.
We also need to process personal data about you if we are providing care under NHS arrangements and to ensure the proper management and administration of the NHS.

Our legal basis for processing data is:
  • Consent 
  • Legitimate interest - Processing is necessary for the performance of our care for patients and for defence of legal claims 
  • Special category data - data relating to your health care records is classed as special category data. Our legal basis for processing this is that it falls under Health and Social Care (Article 9 UK GDPR (h)). 
What do we do with your Information?
  • We will only share your information if it is done securely and it is necessary for us to do so. 
  • Your personal information may be securely shared with other healthcare professionals who need to be involved in your care (for example if we refer you to a specialist, need laboratory work undertaken or need to consult with your doctor)
  • We may also share your personal information securely to third parties where we are required by law or regulation to do so. This may include: 
  • The General Dental Council 
  • The CQC/HIW/HIS/RQIA
  • Dental payment plans or insurers
  • NHS Bodies if NHS dental care and treatment is provided 

How do we store your Information? 
Your Information is stored securely at the practice on protected computer systems and on protected cloud servers.

Retention periods 
We are required to retain your dental records, X-rays and study models while you are a patient of this practice and after you cease to be a patient for a minimum of 15 years (in England, 11 years in Wales) or until the age of 25 (whichever is longer).
There are several other documents that we may collect that have a variety of retention dates, for example the NHS PR form – used to declare payment exemptions – which needs to be kept for 2 years minimum. We have a retention schedule listing all documents and the timeframes for disposal. Retention periods may be changed from time to time based on business or legal and regulatory requirements.

Your rights under GDPR 
Access 
You have a right to access the information that we hold about you and to receive a copy. You can make a request by contacting your practice or by e-mailing
Rectification 
You have a right to correct any information that you believe is inaccurate or incomplete. Please contact your practice to request a change in information.
Erasure 
You have a right to request that we delete your personal information, although you should be aware that, for legal reasons, we may be unable to erase certain information (for example, information about your dental treatment). Please contact your practice to make this request.
Restriction 
You have the right to request us to restrict the processing of your personal information for example, sending you reminders for appointments or information about our service. Please contact your practice to make this request.
Portability 
You have a right to data portability; this could include supplying your information to another dentist. Please contact your practice to make this request.
Concerns 
If you have any concerns about how we use your information and you do not feel able to discuss it with your dentist or anyone at the practice, you can contact our Data Protection Officer via email at practicemanager@bordondenal.co.uk.

Our purpose built rooms offers appropriate access to all patients. We accommodate patients both the abled and less abled with dignity. There is sufficient parking space including a reserved wheelchair parking bay for patients. We salute Arthur Messaris, the developer, for helping to reflect Bordon Dental's Centre's ethos of treating all people with dignity.

For patients and carers assisting patients with accessibility or learning disabilities, we provide additional assistance including colour coded rooms. We also have a hearing loop. Please let us know in advance how we can make your visit more inclusive and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Bordon Dental Centre – Concerns & Complaints addressing mechanism.

Bordon Dental Centre appreciate all feedback, both accolades, reports of satisfaction as well as any concerns. We try to ensure that all patients are satisfied with the way they experience our services. Any complaint is naturally dealt with promptly & courteously to facilitate the matter being resolved properly.


Complaints made to the practice.

  • We have a Patient Liaison Manger (admin@bordondental.co.uk) who is tasked with dealing with any concerns or complaints about the service they have experienced.
  • Feedback over telephone or at the reception desk (verbal), is listened to, while cursory notes are made. The matter is then referred to the  Patient Liaison Manger. If matters prevent a meeting within a reasonable period of time or the patient being opposed to a short delay, then arrangements will be made for a duly appointed representative of the centre to resolve the matter.
  • For concerns delivered in writing – the letter will be passed as soon as practicable to the  Patient Liaison Manger.
  • If a concern is about any aspect of clinical care or associated matters it will be referred to the treating dentist for a response, unless the patient does not wish this to happen.
  • All complaints are acknowledged in the same format in which it was received, within ten working days. Our code of Practice is included in the reply. Patients are invited to discuss their concerns with us. We will investigate within an agreed response period. Full reasons relating to circumstances which led to the incident will be provided with the patient. If investigation is not possible within the agreed time - period, we will notify the complainant and provide a date where the investigation will be completed to such an extent that feedback can be delivered.
  • The matter will b discussed and a more comprehensive reply will be sent to the  patient concerned. We aim at delivering feedback within 10 days.
  • We will keep Proper & comprehensive records of all concerns or complaints received.
  • Bordon Dental Centre, welcomes all feedback. Any patient that raises an issue will not be adversely treated due to having raised the matter. In the rare case that a complainant does not wish to voice their concerns directly to the Practice, the individual can address their concern directly to the relevant body below.
  • Should a complainant, make a complaint which financial redress is sought, it is important to note that Bordon Dental would be obligated to furnish necessary details to indemnifiers and our legal advisers.
Complaining to Dental Complaints Service of the GDC.
  • We trust and hope that, if a patient has an issue or concern, they will make use of our practice complaints procedure and able staff - specifically our Client Liaison Manager as would be the most expedient way to address the situation. We welcome the opportunity to continually improve on our service. Making use of our channels, will not prejudice you. Should a patient feel they cannot raise the matter with us, or if they are still dissatisfied after we have investigated and given complete feedback, then the patient may seek advice, from the complaints division of the GDC as follows:
